As a General Utility Maintenance Worker at Bath Fitter’s Tennessee Plant, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our facility, machinery, and systems operating efficiently. From diagnosing equipment issues to performing repairs across electrical, plumbing, and structural systems, your work ensures our production never skips a beat.

In this role, you will:

• Perform maintenance work orders and support preventive maintenance programs

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and equipment

• Diagnose mechanical issues and collaborate with team members to resolve them

• Dismantle defective equipment and install repaired or replacement parts

• Install and repair electrical systems, plumbing, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment

• Work with electrical systems ranging from 24VDC to 480VAC

• Maintain and repair facility structures (drywall, painting, general upkeep)

• Operate tools and equipment including welding and cutting torches

• Support facility needs such as moving equipment, setting up spaces, and general upkeep

• Assist with snow and ice removal during inclement weather

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment after each job

• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

We’re looking for someone with:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 6–12 months of maintenance or related experience (or equivalent)

• Experience with electrical systems, machinery, and facility maintenance

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents

• Welding experience (stick and MIG preferred)

• Knowledge of motors, pumps, and mechanical systems

• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment

• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs; frequently up to 100 lbs; occasionally more

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing

• Comfortable working in environments with heat, humidity, and moving machinery

• Ability to use hands for tools, equipment, and detailed tasks
